- Status
- An independent, private prototype. Mercedes-Benz has not commissioned, approved or endorsed it. The car's body and engine are community models, modified; the cabin is our own.
- The car
- A 2015 Mercedes-AMG GT. Dimensions are the published 2015 figures; paint and leather names are from memory of the launch palette. Both are to be confirmed with Mercedes.
- Cabin
- Rebuilt from photographs of the 2015 launch interior. The display above the vents shows our stand-in content, not MBUX.
- Light
- The four moods are the headset app's studio. The car carries shade worked out ahead of time in Blender, so footwells and the engine bay are dark where they should be.
- Sound
- Start, idle and cabin recordings are an AMG GT R (2018) with the same V8; the rev is an S 63 AMG.
- Not here
- Life-size scale, your own room, the iPad remote and the take-away summary belong to the headset. The film shows the remote; both of its screens are simulators.
